So what makes this site so much better than other sites?
I have always liked history. When going to school, we learned about our local history. Today, not
so much. Fulton County was one of the leaders in American history. Names such as Sir William
Johnson, Nick Stoner, Nathaniel Foster, French Louie are just a few of the many people who
changed the course of America. Along with the people, Fulton County was praised as the
"Glove Center of the World," by a Philadelphia newspaper. Many Hollywood stars visited
Gloversville and much of Fulton County. Also Theodore Roosevelt, Tom Thumb, Annie Oakley,
Albert Einstein and many more famous individuals flocked to Fulton County. The Schine, Littauer,
Parsons and many families with all be represented on this website. Maps, Cemeteries, Towns and
Villages will also be presented. This is a monumental task is a never ending portal through Fulton
County history. Stop in often because new material is added everyday.
